Of Curses and Kisses was my absolute first Sandhya Menon book and you can find my review of it here. I was very very very excited to read this book and when Sahi @My World of Books tagged me to do this book tag, I was exciiiited. Also, I hope this is entertaining for you as you watch me grapple in search of answers for each category. Rachel @Scorpio Book Dreams created this tag, so go by and say hi, lovelies!
Let’s do this!
Jaya–Favourite Fictional Bookworm
Katy Swartz from the Lux Series is a book blogger. Enough said, no?
Grey–Favourite Brooding Character
Kulti from Kulti was as broody, moody and monosyllabic-man-bear as it gets. Man, the reveal of his personality was almost better than the slow burn. Almost.
St. Rosetta’s Academy–Favourite Fictional School
Honestly, I thought and thought and thought, but I only seem to be able to think of Hogwarts from the Harry Potter series. Is there anything else that comes to your mind? I did also consider a few others, but Hogwarts is Hogwarts. ❤
Jaya and Isha–Favourite Fictional Siblings
I’ve said this before as well but Jess’s relationship with her brother in 1-800-Where-R-U series was just so cute and lovely and even if I don’t remember his name or which sibling he was (the oldest or the second oldest or if he was the only other sibling) I remember how much I loved them!
Romance and Revenge–A Book That Features Both Themes
Penelope Douglas’s Devil’s Night series is the best and most perfectly done romance and revenge trope (it’s also a fantastic enemies to lovers trope). It’s dark, sultry, there’s mystery, it’s a thriller and there’s lots of obsessive-but-true love. Ahhhhh. THE FOURTH BOOK IS COMING THIS YEAR AND OMG WE ALL CANNOT WAIT. Whoever you are reading this, you must join us in the dark side. We have cookies.
Rose Pendant–A Book Featuring A Touch of Magic
I’ll never forget Avalon High and the magic it weaved around me. It was the beginning of everything. *single tear rolls down cheek*
Rao and Emerson Families–A Book That Deals With The Pressure of Family Expectations
You may hear me gush all about Tweet Cute in my review. But good God, it was so perfect. Gentle. Perfect.
Leo, Rahul and Daphne Elizabeth–A Book Featuring A Supportive Friendship Group
Scarlett Dawn’s Forever Evermore series was the first I read with something of an ensemble cast and oh my gosh I fell in love with the friend group and I highly doubt I will ever love a friend group like I did them. ❤
Enemies to Lovers–Favourite Book Featuring This Trope
The Fallen World series by Laura Thalassa was a fantastic enemies to lovers trope. The King was the beginning of my anti-hero love.
The Darkest Drae series was another fantastically done enemies to lovers trope and gosh did it make me cry. There are just way too may special things about this series.
Caterina–A Character That Seems An Ice Queen/King But Is Actually A Cinnamon Roll
Judd from Caressed By Ice from the third Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh was the first Psy who got his love story. Being Psy means being emotionless and all the more for Judd because of his … abilities. But, good God was he a marshmallow ❤
Anyone who wants to do this tag, feel free to tag yourselves. Happy reading and until next time! ❤
