My Favorite 2019 Blogging Moments Tag

We are celebrating the Harvesting Festival here in India, so, a very very happy Pongal/Sankarathi to you! ❤

So, sometime ago, Sahi @My World of Books tagged me in the My Favourite 2019 Blogging Moments Tag! Thank you Sahi ❤ I probably should have done this earlier, but did I? Of course not. But better late than never, so on to the tag.

1. All the answers must be about your blog posts.
2. Link back to the original creator: Laura @Thebookcorps so she can see your posts!
3. You don’t have to provide just one post for each question, you can provide as many as you want so long as they were written in 2019.
4. If you haven’t written a post that matches one of the questions, choose one that relates to it as close as possible
5. Tag 5+ bloggers to they can share their accomplishments too! And make sure you read the posts they share!

What’s Your Favourite Book Review?

Alright, this answer is wholly emotional and has nothing to actually do with anything else. My favourite book review was: *drumroll*

Why? Because this book kick-started my whole blogging career. This book was the book that … gave me the courage to step into the blogging world and finally achieve what I’ve always wanted to do all my life–simply because I just loved this book so much and wanted to promote it. It was also the first book I was approved for (thank you Macmillan ❤ ), I think. So yes, my review for The Burning Shadow by Jennifer L. Armentrout is my favourite book review because it was my first in many ways.

What’s Your Favourite Discussion Post?

*gives what she hopes is a cute-you-love-me-too-much-to-judge-me-right? smile*

I don’t actually think I’ve written a discussion post; like a proper one. Perhaps the closest I’ve come to something akin to discussion posts are: Sometimes and The Leap. Do they count? Honestly, I have no idea. I wanted to choose one, but I read both and they’re both really close to my heart for different reasons and I can’t choose. So, both?

What’s Your Favourite Fun Post?
(By “fun post” I mean a post that doesn’t fall under a particular category like reviews, discussions or tags do.)

Hahaha. Okay. I definitely had lots of fun writing the How I Turn Every Conversation Into A Bookish One (um, it’s also the only fun post I did, so there isn’t really any competition here). It’s basically this fantastical world where I talk to more than one person a day and at the same time, what I sometimes do when I smell out a fellow possible-book-lover. So based on a true story but written with the liberty provided by artistic licence.

What’s Your Favourite Book Recommendation Post?

Oh! So I’ve been meaning to start back my KU Series Recommendation for the Month posts (that I put a small break from because I hadn’t subscribed to Kindle Unlimited after I started blogging because I didn’t use as much) as most of the books I fell in love with, I found from the recommended-for-you list on KU.

My favourite of that is definitely KU Series Recommendation for the Month: Foolish Kingdoms Series by Natalia Jaster.

That series really took my heart, changed it and replaced it. The Darkest Drae series by Raye Wagner and Kelly St. Clare is a very very close second but I just have to choose the Foolish Kingdom series and I don’t even know why, it’s just really close to my heart. *single tear rolls down heart*.

What’s Your Favourite Book/Bookish Photo?

Okay, it’s not going to be extraordinary and based on anything other than feeling. Ergo, my favourite bookish photo is:

Why? Because this was around the time I had just started an account on Instagram and I was so utterly new (still am, by the way) and so totally unaware (still am) of the whats and the hows of bookstagramming. So this was my first coherent-ish (if a photo can be described as so) photo and I was rather proud of it. Still am. ❤

What’s Your Favourite Original Idea/Blog Post?

Oh! Perhaps this doesn’t perfectly fit here, but I can tell you what a very special blog post is: A Small Story which was a recount on (technically) my first ever author sent set of books because they weren’t available in India for me to purchase. *cries in the corner* It was the sweetest thing ever, she replied to my mail and I hadn’t even asked her *cries some more* but she offered to send them to me.

This was also in the very beginning of my blogging journey and it felt like such a heart-touching sign that I was on the right path. I loved the first book and I’ve been dying to start the next. Eve Silver can definitely write. ❤ ❤ ❤

What’s Your Absolute Favourite Blog Post You Wrote This Year?

OH! OH! I originally didn’t know what to choose for this question and then as I was looking through my post-list, I remembered this! My choice is A Thousand Fires by Shannon Price!

There is always always a very heart warming feeling that comes when an author compliments/sees and reacts to your review. But this one is extra extra special, because Shannon Price quoted my review and said I had really understood her characters. I think I cried a puddle of happiness. I was that GIF of that baby who’s both crying and smiling. Anyone know what I’m talking about?

Have You Reached Any Blogging Achievements This Year?

OH OH OH! Yes!

Perhaps a small achievement, but oh gosh, it felt like a dream come true ❤ ❤ ❤
