My baby, AKA Sahi @My World Of Books tagged me for this fun bookish tag and I’m super excited to be doing it. Also, Sahi’s super fun and she’s one of those people for whom when your parents ask “If your friend asked you to jump in a well, would you?”, you can say “Yes.” ❤ She’s lovely, sweet, hard-working, supportive and nice and she’d never push you (or ask you to jump hehe) into anything (not even a tag). Go follow her amazing blog!
Onto the tag!
Are There Any Books You Started This Year That You Need To Finish?
The Darkest Mind by Alexandra Bracken was probably a book I started this year but didn’t get around to finishing. A real close friend and absolute darling suggested this book to me and I read about one third of it and perhaps I got distracted? I’m not sure, but I think another book I’d been anticipating released so I put this one on hold for it. Going to rectify that soon!
Do You Have An Autumnal Book To Transition Into The End Of The Year?
*blinks* *then blinks some more* There’s a season other than summer? (All them south Indians be laughing at my joke right now). But, no. I don’t have an autumnal book to transition into and I hadn’t even known that was a thing.
But I bet it would be nice to read a Christmas themed book during Christmas. All that magic. ❤
Is There A New Release You’re Still Waiting For?
Oh, looks like there isn’t a book that I’m still waiting for. *woot woot* (I feel like the world has something up its sleeve because this feels too good to be true).
What Are Three Books You Want To Read Before The End Of The Year?
True story: my friends have said some lovely lovely things about these three books and frankly (refer to the jumping in the well thing in the beginning of this post) all they need to say is “Ahana, there’s this boo–” and I’m already convinced. So, Sahi told me about Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson and I’m currently listening to the audiobook version of it and LOVING IT (reason 8022903 why’d I’d jump if Sahi asks me to). And I think everyone told me about Spin The Dawn by Elizabeth Lim and I’ve been wanting to read it since forever. I haven’t bought it yet, but I’m keeping a close eye on it on Amazon. And Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin, I remember Shalini @BookRambler had some lovely things to say about this book and I was smitten from the word go. SO, yes, I want to get these three books under my ‘Read’ pile ASAP.
Is There A Book That Could Still Shock You And Become Your Favourite Book Of The Year?
Honestly, I still have a few books in my list of books left to read, but I will say, that I read a book last week or so and it’s probably hit my top favourite book for the year because I hadn’t expected to be as good as it was or for me to like it as much as I did. However, I really am looking forward to Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn and Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore and while they may not be my favourite they may be on my list of some of the best.
Have You Already Started Making Reading Plans For 2020?
Hells yeah. Do I still have a few books that I’m yet to read even though it’s already December? Yes. Is that going to stop me? *starts laughing maniacally*
I tag anyone that would like to do this tag! <3<3
Happy reading love! ❤

well, im kinda jealous that you don’t get to experience winter to be honest xD but yeah.. I’ve never done that either, I don’t have a “seasonal transition” habit.
Oh I gotta check what Love lettering is about! looks interesting.

I hadn’t known seasonal reading exists. But it makes sense if I think about it!
It sounds super cute doesn’t it? Can’t wait to dive into it.

Seasonal reading? What seasonal reading? 😂
I do try to read a Christmas-themed book in December and maybe a scary one around Halloween, but that’s about it. I don’t think seasonal reading will go with my already tiresome mood reading. 😂

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 what even are seasons?
I try too, but like you I’m a big mood reader AND a OMG-which-book-needs-to-be-reviewed-next reader🤣

Oh I read The Darkest Minds for the first time this year too! I struggled with it at first but I ended up really liking it. 🙂 I want to watch the movie too, but I can’t find it anywhere where I can just rent it without it being too expensive.
I really want to read Spin the Dawn sometime too! I hope you like it. 😀
