A Book That A Certain Friend Always Tells You To Read

So, I’ve been asked to read The Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, so many times by my friend and even her mother! They insist, I will adore the hero. I will get around to it! *determined expression*.

Book That Has Been On Your TBR Forever, And Yet You Still Haven’t Picked It Up

Okay, so if you know me, you know I’m a DIE HARD Jennifer L. Armentrout fan. Like…it’s not even funny. So, what is my excuse for ignoring The Return? A book of a character that I actually really liked in the original series that this one is a spin-off of. The only reason I can plead is: guilty.

A Book In A Series You’ve Started But Haven’t Gotten Around To Finishing

I started the first book of The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini pretty much as soon as I saw the book. And I loved the first book so much that I immediately bought the second and grinned like a maniac while reading it. And I loved the third. I’ve also been meaning to finish the conclusion of the series, Inheritance. Honestly, I don’t know what my problem is.

A Classic You’ve Always Liked The Sound Of, But Never Actually Read

I have always always always wanted to read The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy. We had a small portion of this story in our reader as part of high school…and of course the small portion gave the long withheld secret of the plot away *crickets sound*.
But I loved the little glimpse I got. I even have the book. Honestly, Ahana. *shakes head*. (Can we just discuss about how the guy on the cover looks like Henry Cavill)?

A Book That Inspired A Film/TV Adaptation That You Really Love, But You Just Haven’t Read It Yet

Okay, so this is the one book/series I’m actually totally okay confessing about because pretty much everyone I’ve confessed to has said “Aw, that’s alright, Ahana. TLoTR was before your time. You’re a 90s kid.” (then they wave their hands in the air and dismiss my sin away). When strangers make excuses for you, *shrug* what more can one ask for? But yes, I LOVED the movies, but I haven’t gotten around to reading The Lord of The Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien.

A Book You See All Over Instagram, But Haven’t Picked Up Yet

Okay, so I’ve seen this book EVERYWHERE. It’s in my TBR, it’s on my Kindle. I just haven’t yet gotten around to reading The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren. But I WILL!

  1. Basically everyone in this tag « idk what happened.. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Im just guilty.. » ahaha 😅

  2. Atlas Shrugged. I had a PTSD moment, flashed back to tenth grade HS and was reading this again. I can honestly say that though the book is a brilliant masterpiece, I hate all the characters, it is such a depressing read buahaha. I loved your answers to this tag! I intend on reading The Hobbit this year, so, wish me luck lol

  3. I like your answers to this tag. I’ve actually read (with the audiobook playing) The Fellowship of the Ring and Eragon. Their sequels are on my TBR for this month. The Two Towers is a definite read this month (it’s actually next after I finish the Giver), but I don’t know about Eldest. That’s a “we will wait and see” decision.
